1940’s Hardy Amies served in the British Intelligence and later with the Special Operations Executive during WWII and had his British Army uniform tailored on Savile Row.
1909 – 2003 Sir Hardy Amies was an English Fashion Designer, best known as couturier to the Royal Family.
1945 Hardy Amies moved into 14 Savile Row and pioneered the idea of the democratization of menswear, taking Savile Row beyond Mayfair.
1962 Sir Hardy unveiled the first men’s ready-to-wear catwalk show at the Savoy Hotel, London.
