Gieves & Hawkes hosted a private dinner and cocktail for VIP guests, top press and Creative Director Jason Basmajian’s closest friends and collaborators, to celebrate the brand’s new opening on Ice House Street. The event brought together some of the most recognisable and influential names in fashion, design, art and architecture. “Hand Made in England” collection was on display for the night, guests enjoyed music by renowned DJ Simon Pang as well as having portraits taken by photographer Earl Wan.

Collection summary

Modern silhouette are presented for daytime in pared down and luxurious fabrics, urban tweeds, graphic Shetlands, black cashmere and super fine 150’s, all from the world’s top mills. For evening, a velvet dinner jacket in peacock or midnight blue makes a stylish statement, especially when paired with patent dress slippers.
On tailored items, sleeves, are left unfinished, allowing button holes to be added bespoke to each customer.

Jason Basmajian has over two decades experience as a creative manager of major international clothing brands. He was Director of Menswear at Calvin Klein, and held the same post at Donna Karan in New York, after which he became Creative Director of ST Dupont in Paris. Subsequently he joined Brioni in 2007 as Artistic Director. Whilst at Brioni he spearheaded the company’s modernisation and consolidation as one of the leading global luxury brands. Jason joined Gieves & Hawkes on Monday 21st January 2013 and assumed full responsibility for all areas of product design and development, taking the brand to another level globally as well as locally.
